Service for Alan Ruddock Sensei

RUDDOCK, Alan Thomas, (Isle of Man) April 2 2012, suddenly, at Beaumont Hospital. Beloved husband of Karen, father of Liam, Annemarie and Daniel, brother of Kenneth and Joan.

Funeral Service on Friday at 12 noon in St. Nahi’s Church, Dundrum, afterwards to Mount Jerome Crematorium. Strictly family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired, to RNLI.

Alan Ruddock Sensei, 10th Jan 1944 - 2nd Apr 2012

Alan Ruddock Sensei passed away peacefully yesterday evening in Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, whilst returning home from a weekend of Aikido training in Cork.

To the very last, his fighting spirit shone through, having travelled to Cork for a healing treatment as well as teaching Aikido, despite the physical problems he has been facing over the last couple of years.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this time. May he rest in peace.

Beginners Course - March 2012

We are delighted to announce an eight week beginners course starting on Thursday March 1st in the Cork Aiki Dojo.

This will involve sessions specifically tailored to review the list of techniques in the Aiki No Michi grading syllabus from 6th Kyu - 1st Kyu, along with basic tai sabaki (body movement) and ukemi (falling over).

Classes will take place every Thursday from March 1st for eight weeks. Cost is €50 for the eight weeks.
